Marketing Assistant /Coordinator

Reports to:
Director of Marketing & VP of Marketing

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for project support and all administrative functions related to the Marketing Department at NVP. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
· Support and assist in the coordination of all internal and external NVP events: registration, logistics, planning, research, etc.
· Support and assist in the coordination of all international and national NVP public relations projects/follow-up; clip reports
· Maintain and update key NVP process and activity documents including conference calendar and other marketing activity tracking spreadsheets.
· Support and assist in the coordination/deliverables related to NVP sponsorships
· In house creation of select NVP collateral pieces and invitations (via MS Publisher, Photoshop)
· Maintain/update NVP website and plasma screen (basic HTML experience)
· Post speaking events and news on Facebook and other relevant social media channels
· Maintain/update vendor resource area on nvp.com
· Print and update separate marketing collateral for various teams within NVP
· Produce and maintain press kits (U.S. and global)
· Produce/ manage tombstones and reprints
· Assist with managing marketing budget and billing
· Organize and maintain marketing files and publications
· Interface with vendors, portfolio companies and staff regarding marketing-related projects
· Attend select marketing-related seminars and classes to enhance marketing skill set
· Additional administrative tasks as needed (i.e. CMS, PowerPoint support, vendor meeting coordination)

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Minimum 2 years of marketing experience
·
Undergraduate degree preferred
·
Familiar with standard marketing concepts, practices and procedures
·
Strong organizational skills - Ability to develop and maintain files and records
·
Strong computer skills – MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; basic HTML; Photoshop, Internet savvy
·
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
·
Positive, “can do” attitude and sense of humor
·
Excellent interpersonal skills
